There are a large number of things that contribute to the strong colors. First of all, messing with the white balance on the camera while shooting can change the look of colors. Secondly,long shutter speeds bring out more color. Lastly, I usually add a bit of contrast and saturation in photoshop. Also lense filters help a lot.

For example, here's one of your pictures with slight photoshop tweaks... I brightened it up, added a little saturation and contrast, and then tried to bring out the green a bit more with the colors level:

That was one of my favs. Nice. Do you remember what your settings were for that? Like shutter speed, and apature and such? I just bought an SLR and am trying to learn how to take pics like that!

I shoot with a Canon S50 - digital. Still learning myself, you just need to know some good basics. Use a tripod, use a timer, manual focus, long exposure - ie 5,10,15 second shutter, etc. That is what gives the bright look or over exposure.
