Here is a yellow evo with what I think is a lancer oz wing, she's on the forum but I can't think of her user name at the moment

So sleek and subtle, I love it.

Basically, I was wondering if my car would look better by either removing the center post or slapping on an evo wing. I'm guessing the latter isn't your cup of tea.

If the center piece of the OZ wing is removeable then I'll go for it. I just don't want the attention for now. I will put back the stock wing, may be. I like the stock wing the most, the OZ second, and wingless third. I don't care what others say about this issue.

Who removed the center piece of the OZ and put it on their EVO? Please give us a picture to look at. How is the break light, in the center connected?

well if you like the stock wing the most, why are you going through the trouble and expense to change it to something you don't really want anyway?

I will be parking on a High School Campus and you know those kids now aday with the big wing. May be I am getting old? I might like the smaller wing more than the stock Evo wing. I just want to have the option of putting it back on without any problem.

I have seen a white evo with lower wing before on the freeway. It looks very nice.

Yeah, who's removed the center post? Can this person offer help? I'm very interested.

Here is my car a week after I got it with the little wing. You can remove the center post but it's riveted on and not a simple job. It will also leave a hole in the wing. The brake light is routed through a hole in the passanger side of the trunk.

I have a full-size wing now and would let my little wing go for a fair price, and shipping is easy for me. PM me if you are interested.

i dont get why you're letting what some high school kids think about your car bug you, especially if you're out of hs (i assume you are because of the "getting old?" remark). it's your car, do what you want. the hell with high school kids, because they are just that...kids. if a high school kid looks at the wing on my EVO and has something to say about it he wouldn't get the chance. i'll blow the doors off of his new chevy cobalt before he has a chance to open his mouth to say anything stupid. personally, i think the little wing looks retarded. stick with the stock wing. mitsu engineers put it there for a reason, so use it.

I doubt he's worried of what they think of his car, he's more worried of his car being vandalized. The wing attracts a lot of attention, and since a lot of highschool kids are immature and delinquents, his car will be at greater risk of being vandalized.

no offense, but i don't remember asking you what HIS reasons were for taking the wing off. i haven't seen him say anything about vandalizing or anything else like that. how about we keep our interpretations of his situation based on the information given, and not random speculation. and with or without the wing, the car will still be an EVO. the car attracts the attention, not the wing.

WRONG, I have a small wing on my evo and half of the time those stupid ricers dont even know if my car is an evo or not. You wouldnt believe how many times I get asked, "Is that a real evo???". I would also add that in a parking lot with a lot of cars, the back of my car blends in much better than an evo with the big wing. Now as far as looks, I think the small wing is much cleaner. Something about the large wing and stock altezzas makes the evo look a little ricey. Just my opinion though

Oh yah, and its just too funny when people come up behind me wanting to race and I just own the hell out of them. My evo doesnt look like a 400+whp car from behind.
