how are some chrome wheels "hated" upon and others praised???? I agree they look good, but,,,,,,,,,,

Because everyone in this sport has been branded with the idea that chrome is bad. Why? Well obviously because chrome PLATING adds weight and weight = enemy. Not to mention that in most cases when chrome is brought up for wheels we all think VIP or luxury car style wheels. Wheels that look like they belong on a SUV or old Chevy Caprice.

But the thing is, these Work Emotions are nothing like described above. Obviously the style of the wheel is race inspired and the chrome finish it has is NOT chrome plating. Its a state of the art paint process that allows pure chromium to be applied to the wheel through a vacuum chamber and then a powder coat clear is applied to protect it. There is no added weight and the finish is actually stronger than chrome plating. It also has a slight tint to the chrome (black chrome) for a slightly more hardcore look for the racers.

You guys need to get your minds out of the "gunmetal" or "bronze" gutter. You can't deny that chrome looks good. This new black chrome is beginning to be more popular now as all of the popular brands are using them -- Racing Hart, Enkei, Rays, Work, 5zigen, Rota, Advan and even ADR.

Hell its even being used on the RACE TRACK!

I prefer the emotions in gunmetal on silver evo's, but the chrome looks nice on your car.
