For those with in-dash video screens-A/V switchbox w/ Remote

I just put a Kenwood DVD flip-out with 7" screen in my whip, and I've been looking for a audio/video switchbox that would mount hidden somewhere, but have a remote that would let me switch the sources without having to reach under the seat. Found one!

I plan to mount 2-3 spycams around the car and run them all into the switchbox, then out to a camcorder and also onto my in-dash display so I can see what is being recorded. (notice the box has 3 video outputs, perfect!) I may also stick a PS2 under the seat with a couple of wireless controllers, so it'll take that too.

Just thought I'd share that for anyone else out there looking for something similar.

Thanks. I'm always making runs across Deal's Gap with friends on sportbikes and sportscars, and I film it sometimes, but mounting the cameras and getting them aimed straight is a pain.

There are a ton of places if you want to go cheap. (www.spycameras.com for one) I've been through a few though, and I really recommend a nice kit like the one they sell at www.helmetcamera.com It comes with a tough housing with replaceable stone shield for the front lens. Trust me, your spycam will take a beating if it's facing forward and you follow anyone, the replaceable lexan stone guard is well worth it. They also have a variety of lenses so you can adjust the FOV. (wider=faster, narrow=more detail) The unit is waterproof too.

BTW, "lipstick" cameras are preferrable to the square, flat "pin-hole" cameras. The lenses are bigger on the lipstick-style cameras, but you get a better picture.
