From what I hear, it is because of the cost. It's harder=costs more to colormatch the yellow tone. They used to charge more for a Yellow Corvette over other colors.
yellow, belive it or not, is harder to sell at the dealers. ALOT of people dont want to be driving around in a bright yellow car....myself on the other hand wouldnt have it any other way.
