Well once again guys thanks for all the compliments on the garage! Its been a work in progress and I'm finally nearing completion (I think
) As far as the break in everything I've read and know myself from building motors I think the more miles you put on it the better. Everyone has their own opinion on this matter but I think everything needs time to settle and seat properly. I know for a fact that Viper guys that dyno'd their cars with sub 2k miles on the cars stock would dyno X RWHP and then dyno'd later on with 10k or so miles still in stock form and would always dyno more. Its widely accepted on the Viper forums that they pick up serious HP after the cars have some miles on them. So I think I'm going to put at least 1,500 miles on just to be safe, it can't hurt.
deepcover6- I picked the car up from Jerry's Mitsubishi on Joppa Rd. in Towson, MD. Their ok as far as a dealership goes but you have Rockville Mitsubishi down by you and I know alot of guys that work in the service dept. and that dealership is pretty good. If I were you I would swing by there and check them out. As far as price goes I think I did alright, I payed 31,500 before TTT. If your interested in getting one from them let me know because I know the owner pretty well. He's a pretty good customer of mine and the sales manager came in for launch today and said to let anyone know and they would treat them the same if they mention my name, so they say...
but its worth a shot if anyone's interested.
Smokey- thanks for all you back and forth pm's with my spring dilema. All the pics were appreciated very much and thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions
alby988- I picked up the RX7 about 6 months ago for 25K from the original owner who kept it in a heated garage so the thing is absolutely insanely clean even the undercarriage looks as good as the outside. The guy swears it had only seen rain maybe twice its entire life and it really shows. All the aluminum suspension is still perfect and isn't oxidized or pitted at all.
stiguy- I would think about but only if you were a twenty something, 5'9" or taller brunette with big un's
and be of female decent! With a name like Stiguy I doubt you can help me unless your some scobby chic that doesn't want a million leg humpers on your back 24/7 so you fool them with a manly screen name?
As for everyone else thanks for all the compliments and the 7 and supra are usually in the garage but I thought it would make for a nice photo opt. so I brought them out for the photo shoot
Thanks guys!
Joe
