It's off by only a little that it's not even worth stressing about. It looks fine.

I went through this same problem when I put mine on my IX MR. Mine is off less than 1/32 of an inch from one end to the other, but I still dont feel like it is "perfect." Then one of my friends said do you think that they come perfect from the factory? I realized then you or I will do a better job of putting anything on our personal cars than some assembly line worker ever would.
The bottom line is that it looks fine and if anyone doesn't approve of the job you did tell them to buy you a new badge and have THEM put it on. Most people are just envious that they dont have an Evo, so they will find anything to make you feel bad about yours. Just my .02 cents though.

Ok, I took the tape off and it actually looks nice. I was stressing about it for like an hour . I guess you only notice it if you take a long stare at it. But, I'm happy with it now .

Now I'll probably take off the cursive "Evolution" part and leave the "Lancer" part on... and maybe I'll add an FQ-276 badge to get a similar effect as this FQ:

Haha jk

Given this isnt very scientific, its pretty close, the horizontal line is the same length on either side of the vertical line, I'd say you did a dam good job for eye-ballin it.
