Not everyone enjoys the sound of a lawnmower And not everyone likes attention from Johnny Law.

Those two resonators will hardly impact flow. This exhaust is for those that appreciate engineering/craftsman bling, the numbers will take care of themselves.

You certainly don't speak for me in this "community", but thanks for the kind thoughts

if im not mistaken, the id of these resonators is smaller then the id of the piping. look at the picture of the resonator. now if this is the case then this is not very flow worthy. and also if this is the case then the engineering isnt all that great and nothing to brag about.

Got a stainless steel version for sale $600.00 plus shipping if you are not in the tristate area.

I had saw that exhaust at Ravspec and the thing is so light and finish is perfect. YOu will love the sound and the performance.

well, i finally got this thing installed so i thought i'd update my thread. i will post pix soon but for now, let me say that i LOVE this exhaust. it's exactly what i wanted: slightly louder (but MUCH deeper and better sounding), better looking, and wayyy lighter than stock. pix later.

the fitment was perfect although the tip is not flush with the bumper...maybe 2" from flush? i am going to try to push it a little further back when i get my test pipe and downpipe. in the meantime, i installed a CF heat shield so at least my bumper won't melt.

lastly, i am amazed to report that my IX MR picked up a noticeable amount of power from just the catback!! butt dyno only but i've driven 4k miles on stock exhaust so i KNOW i can feel a difference. since the catback is quiet, it's definitely not just the sound that makes it feel faster. best of all, the throttle response at low RPMs is wayyyy smoother than stock.

I have to agree with that other guy that you guys think is hating on this product. I am litteraly studying for my fluid mechanics exam as we speak and I happen to be exactly on this subject. Those sudden (sharp) changes in diameter caused by the resonator will create swirling flow and turbulent motion that will inturn introduce a head loss. A 0.7 change in diameter (d/D) could reduce the flowrate by 0.65 depending mainly on the velocity and dynamic viscosity of the fluid . Does it change the flow by that much? Absolutely not. I'm just giving some reference. Given the double resonator, these losses are added or doubled.

Anyway, the product looks great, I'm sure it sounds great and it definitely sheds some weight from the stock exhaust. Is it well engineered? From a theoretical stand point, it doesn't look that way. Only way to really find out is to get that puppy on the dyno.

Would I still get it? Probably yes! I love anything thats titanium.

If anyone wants to add or correct, feel free.

Very nice piece of exhaust system! great buy if you have the $ and want the uber JDM coolness. The performance of Fujitsubo can't be surpassed!

Someone mentioned that why the ID diameter of resonator is smaller than the pipe? well, they engineered this way for its reasons. To reduce turbulence and noise at the same time retain the torque the car needed for street and track. Japanese engineers designed their products very differently than our "domestic" brands. We often shoot for high horsepower on dynos/drag strips w/ big turbos!! Most of their products are designed for time attack and road course type of racing.

cheers

Nice! I think its worth the price. I wouldn't listen to any sad saps crying about the price. I run a 80mm Amuse exhaust and I couldn't be more stoked on its quality or performance. To each his own. Anyone can have a Espelir or Buschur exhaust. Its nice to have rare and expenxsive parts. Sets your car apart from the rest.

who r u to talk? listen facts are facts, the damn exhaust looks great and is manufactured great, but its engineering sucks a s s . take a class in fluid dynamics and then u will see y. sorry i like buschur, and i know for a fact he engineers his products to their max capabilities. this exhaust is like 2 steps forward in the looks department but thats it.

I am sure that the people who designed the exhaust, just said f*** it, let's just make it look cool and be really expensive.
