My buddys Buschur powered Evo was using 100% meth. I was talking to him about meth/alky and he said that windshield washer fluid was 52% meth/Alky. Anyone know if this is true or is he making me look like a dumb@$$ for asking this? Also where do you guys get meth/alky?
im running ams 35R right now...if i go alky i can up the boost from 22psi pump to about what,27?what kind of power can i put down?i put down 418 at 22psi on pump,so if i do alky and up boost what can i be looking at?is it relatively safe?i have AEM so is there a safety on there for alky?let me know,wanting to become a alcoholic
Here is a question for you guys running alky. How much do you go through? A friend of mine says a gallon lasts him about 2 months but I dont think he drives quite as hard as I do. If you are one of those guys to alwasy go ripping around how long do you think you will need to add a gallon? I dont want to have to put a can in every time I fill up. I think you all finally have me talked into alky though assuming it doesnt cost me an arm and a leg to run on my DD. Thanks.
. I have never seen it that low before, thank god I didn't make a few more trips down the track.Depending on how hard you run the car there is no telling how much you will use. If you're not on boost it will last you for some time.

Windshield washer fluid will vary in methanol concentration depending upon where you live. Here in the south (Houston), we're lucky to get fluid that has 5% methanol in it. Most washer fluids are rated in "freeze point". For example, a washer fluid will have a label that contains some sort of graphic saying a temperature rating like "-30 F".
Here's a handy freeze point chart for various meth/water concentrations.
Freeze Point (F) % Meth
32---------------------0
20---------------------10
0-----------------------20
-15--------------------30
-40--------------------40
-65--------------------50
-95--------------------60
-215------------------70
etc.
So a -30F windshield washer fluid is about 35% methanol.
On to the pics!
Low level light on bottom, lights red when low level in reseviour is detected. Activiation light on top. Turns red when a preset boost level (10#'s)is hit, and then turns green when the alky pump discharge pressure reaches a preset pressure (30#'s). Within easy viewing of the tach.
I'm running the AMS system, the controller is located in the glove box along wth the remote map switcher for the Utec and the ugly *** wideband box the Utec uses. That's why it's in the glove compartment, so I can shut the door and hide the ugly thing. Also, the Utec will flash the check engine light rapidly when knock is detected, which acts as an additional failsafe in case the meth. quits spraying.
