Some of you guy's driving these evo's need to be a little more careful. It's like every other day I'm seeing a thread about somebody crashing there evo . Atleast he got out of that mess without a scratch.

That was my thought when I first looked at the pictures. CF tends to be very rigid, and if it breaks it shatters at a fracture point. My thought would be a hood with a large amount of fibreglass would bend like that. Sorry about your car

an impact like that will destroy anything!! real carbon fiber or not.

Your missing the point. Carbon fibre has a high modulus but is very brittle. It is very stiff, but if pushed past its yield strength it will shatter, not bend like metal. That hood appeared to bend, which is why I made my fiberglass comment above.

its obvious its fiberglass...just check the 4th and 5th pics down...you can see right in front of the vent where the c/f shattered and fell away leaving only fiberglass remaining

sucks about the wreck though...would also like to know what happened

Yes, The car threw the code "P0666 - YOUR CAR IS FKED"

My dad's a TV repair man, he's got this btchen set of tools... I can fix it.

I hope the driver is OK. That situation is always unfortunate. My best wishes for the owner of that car and I hope he resolves that issue in the best way.
