NEW PICS ON PAGE 3!!!

Well first day of my Spring Break, nice weather, decided to throw on the Evo 9 rear bumper.

Here's some pics w/the stock bumper off:

Here's some pics of test fitting the rear:

Final, installed pics

Thanks to my little brother for taking all the nice pics

Mods as of now:

Nice. I did my Rear this past Sat. Took me a little less than 3 hours without a lunch break...haha. I didn't take any pics of the install either though. Was kinda in a Hurry. Did you notice the retainer is now 3 pieces where the 8s are all one piece or are the 8s 3 piece also? I remember my 8 being one piece.

Man I gotta get me one of these.
I got rear ended, and the insurance check is going in the mail tomorrow, so I guess I need to go order one.

I never have seen a clear answer though if there is a JDM equivelent of the 5 mph crash bar. I know I will probably need a new bracket as the stock one might be bent from the accident, but I wanted to see if I could also keep some sore of actual crash bar in there.

there is no 5mph crash beam available in japan. The 5mph crash beam will not fit w/ the JDM rear bumper. the "bar" that other vendors claimed to be JDM crash bar is actually the bumper retainer. You can re-use your old evo 8 retainer and attach to the new ix rear bumper. A rivit gun is required if you are doing this yourself
