There's no other way to wash it. When it rains water will get down there. The only advise I can give you is what I do. After washing the car, turn the car on while your drying the exterior. The heat from under the hood will help evaporate the water on the engine block and other engine parts. Afterwards just lift the hood and dry down the remaining water. That's about it.

Do you have pics? I think I know what you're talking about, but from what I've seen, I had those rust/stain like spots on the ex. mani. from the dealer when I picked my Evo up w/ 8 miles on the odometer.

There is no way to keep it from rusting, thats the one bad part about the evo's hood vent. A little ways down the road I will probably get a Jet coated and ported exhaust manifold from Buschur. Or you could just send you exhaust manifold to Buschur and they can get it coated for you to prevent it from rusting but if you are going to do that you might as well get it ported to. Also if its rainning outside at all i just try to keep my car in the garage or at least under something as much as possible. But something when i'm at school or work thats not an option. But yeah there is pretty much no way to keep it from rusting, but like i said if it bothers you that much get it jet coated, later.
