In 3 weeks when I relocate I will have access to all the older model Evo's. If the price is right I am thinking of picking one up.

Just installed a greddy peak hold boost gauge last night. Car is only at .9 bar, so its even less than 14.5lbs of boost. Car is wideband tuned to 10.8 with an AFC. Weight is 2820 with nothing removed. Add the small tire diameter and these cars rip with very little power. If you get the chance to pick one of these up, jump on the chance.

These cars came trick right from the start. One touch power sunroof and windows, digital climate control, intercooler sprayer, power folding mirrors, power locks with infrared key entry. Floor mats that are actually durable. Aluminum hood, rear wiper, alcantara seat inserts. Just an absolute joy of a car.

Thanks for the props guys. Getting me fired up to finish my plans for the little beast.

I got mine 2 days ago, well an EVO 2 anyway. Needs a little work but the car is after all 12 yrs old.

As soon as I get a handle on how to downsize the pics from my digital camera I'll post some.

Wadad. Glad to see you picked one up.

Update on my car. I installed evo 8 mass and alky running 10 jet. only tuned for twenty minutes and took it to the track. ran 12.39 at 102 letting off in mid forth. picked up 7 mph in the 1/8. I have the jet turning on at 17psi which isn't working too well. Bogs when it hits. need to get the proggressive controller on so I can inject sooner. A/f at 10/1 at 1.6bar with no knock. should run an 11? no problem with some more tweaking.

I got the evo III tag because I thought the plate looked cooler.

My first order of business will be to service it

You see how dirty the engine bay is!!!!!!!

I have never seen an air filter that dirty. The diameter of the filter looks about the same as the RMR one I had on my OZ. I need to search around and see if that is the normal evo size filter or what. I doubt my girlfriend is going to want to bring me one from the states when she comes to visit but I surely need something.

Anyway
I guess it's time to troll the EVo forums for service tips.
