lol what paint did you use and how did you do it step by step? I picked up some high gloss black enamel and my badge keeps coming out looking like ****... help a brother out. It has milions of tiny bubbles o nthe surface..... and it doens't coat evenly.

here's the process.

400 grit sand paper...watch a movie and sand away
DupliColor: sandable primer
800 grit sand paper...for touching up primer
Duplicolor: Flat black automotive spray
Duplicolor: Truck Van Clear TOp coat

3 coats of primer
4 coats of paint
6 coats of clear(2 light coats of clear....then semi-wet coats with clear...trick to the nice finish is the clear) more clear the better.

allow ample drying time....can't wait to do the rear emblem

thats what i hear.... a local body shop told me to get it dipped in black chrome, anyone have this done before?

i didnt know that emblem popped off. hmm. i still have left over stuff from when i did my wheels. looks like i'll be doing this over the week.

There is a lower temp powder coating process that you can use to coat glass and plastic parts.. just an FYI

Whew, I was afraid it was going to be a picture of your painted genitals...glad it was just the mitsu emblem.

Sure looks red in the picture, I take it that's the before shot? Do you have a pic of it installed? I did the vinyl, but that looks quite nice. Excellent work.

I did the same thing with mine, only in gumetal. Same process, same paint. Looks much better than chrome in my opinion
