Unhappy mystery jdm part ??!?!!?

hey im looking for a rather rare part of jdm styling
it a cover that goes over your car key in the style of a snap on tool screwdriver handle, ive seen it on many drift and japanese tuner cars if anyone knows were i can get info on it or if there is some one who can get it in the states please let me know
if anyone has pics of it please post up!!

i saw a question on it on the new modified mag issue

There is actually an inquiry in Mod Mag about that.

Apparently they dont import them to the states, yet snap on sells the screwdriver handle if you wanted to make if yourself. Let us know if you find them

thats what the reply was on modified magazine
you can probably make it yourself but it going to take some work since the evo keys have a chip inside and are a bit chubby. please if some has some info or pics please post up .

keep in mind our evos have a transponder in the key that ya have to be careful not to damage unless you bypass the theft deterant system

Perhaps their just screwdrivers to turn the ignition since keys on race cars aren't really necessary??

In the states you'd probably be searched for "Cause" if they saw a screwdriver handle in the ignition..

i just realized that could make for an interesting conversation with the next cop that pulls you over. cop sees a screwdriver in the ignition and the cop assumes the car is stolen.

besides think about walking around with that in your pants pocket all day. I am a mechanic and have put one of those stubby Snap-On screwdrivers in my pocket and it was quite uncomfortable after a short time, kinda like having a golf ball in your pocket
