Pulled Over Pictures!
I wish I would have seen this thread earlier. I could have taken the same photo today. I got stopped for tint too dark and a license plate cover not even in the state I'm registered and living in. I now know my tint measures exactly 26% which is exactly 4% under the legal limit in GA (and NC but, never had a problem because it's close) and my license plate cover is tinted therefore obstructing the view of my plate even though I've had it on there for three years, been pulled over before and never had it mentioned.
This guy was just looking for something to do. He let me go with no ticket as long as I promised to take the cover off when I got home. He kept asking me all these bonehead questions and pissing me off though. This is pretty much how it went down after he told why he stopped me.
Q:Why would you put that on there?
A: Because it matches the tint and the car is black.
Q:Is it to conceal the the plate numbers?
A I wanted to give: Yup, you got me. I'm a bank robber and figured I would conceal my identity by hiding my plate number on this here loud, big winged, barely noticeable, limited production import getaway car.
Real A: Never thought too much about that since I have seen them frequently and have never had an issue before.
Q: Where are you going?
A: Home to North Carolina from vacation in Atlanta
Q: Do you live here in Georgia? (After I answered the where are you going question and told him we were on our way home to North Carolina from vacation and gave him my NC license and am really starting to get pissed)
A: I just said we were passing through on the way home from Atlanta.
Q: You know I can give you a ticket for both of these violations right?
A: I thought that as long as I met the state that I live and am registered in laws you couldn't.(Knowing my tint is illegal there too but, getting to the point where I just want to **** him off as much as he is pissing me off)
His A: They just changed the law here in GA. I can ticket you but, I won't if you promise to take that cover off when you get home.
A: Sure.
Trooper: Continue on your way.
The best part is there was a state trooper in front of me who just passed me and didn't give me a second look when this guy lit them up.
