yeah i know what u mean. looks like chicken wire to me. ive been trying hard to fabricate the hood so that the stock grill and heat shield would fit but i couldnt find a way to do that. ive searched all over many boards so ive just given up. plan on getting a different hood anyways.

 

that is the one thing that sucks about cf hoods. they all seem to come with crap for mesh.

 

i traded my stock wing with a wing a buddy of mine had that he had already paint-stripped and clearcoated. he lives in socal so if ur around that area, im sure he would be more than willing to "carbonize" ur wing

the only thing to look out for is fading and "yellowing" but a lil wax and elbow grease does the trick.

 

yeah i was thinking of just painting the grill with a high-temp flat black paint but i havent had time to do so. too busy with school.

there are a couple of cf hoods that allow u to install the stock grill and heat shield. i believe vis's oem style cf hood allows u to do so. correct me if im wrong.
