Don't worry they don't come with the little patches.... But with aftermarket manifolds the heat makes it crack around those vents...

They're for safety during race conditions. A typical hood latch is in the very front and center of the hood, allowing air to possibly lift the sides of the hood at high speeds. Those flush mounted latches like the ones on the Norris Evo are just an added safety measure to keep the hood from flopping over and covering your view while your trying to run an 8-second timeslip.

 

I see, I hate that the hood only comes in CF, I was planning on maybe getting a RR Evo, and I hate the look of one color and a CF hood. I will probably get black or GG now since I will prob get the SE especially if I want this hood.

 

They are the Top Secret Hood Latches, same as hood pins, but in a very aerodynamic style to keep the air flow over the hood nice and smooth. Since they dont use the factory latch in the middle, these keep the hood fastened.
