uhm... i already said that. if you mean that you have a wing that presses down on the back it would still lift the front... you would be right. but there is a difference between a wing and a spoiler which was my point. and the thing about hte lift was to correct the person's assertion about lift.

the dictionary definition is actually right... it's a wind deflector. but race cars use wings, not spoilers.

The wheels are +38 offset. I'm using 10mm spacers in the front because the tires rub against the coilover. No rubbing in the rear.

Suspension is Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC coilovers.

Negative lift? You mean downforce, which is created by a spoiler?

If you can go to mitsubishi, and ask them too look and the parts book, and it says "Lancer Evolution WING" then I'll hush up about the subject. But I'm pretty sure they call it a spoiler.

Either way, I'm not trying to sound like an a$$, I just always known them to be spoilers. But I guess I stand slightly corrected.

A "spoiler" is something that disrupts airflow to create downforce, such as the spoilers on the back of NASCAR. A flat piece of metal stuck up there to jack up the airflow to create downforce. A wing creates a force on one side greater than the other, one way creates lift, the other way creates downforce (for a car). Our wing doesn't "spoil" the air to create downforce, it uses the air to make downforce, hence the inverted shape of the WING.

Wow! I can't believe this ongoing debate about "wings" and "spoilers".

Sweet lookin' ride!

Maybe it's just me but I would be really nervous about the upper radiator hose expiring in a steaming cloud of melting rubber!

Not sure what people are doing to shield the hose but you know those headers are glowing red when you're on the gas.

Great job
