for the person who was not sure whether to get 5 percent. IMO i think you shouldnt get it depending on your state and how experienced you are at driving. 5 percent isnt bad at night as long as theres lights but once it starts getting darker its harder to see through all your windows cept your front unless thats tinted. I have 20 percent and 35 front and its visible to see out all windows even at night but i did get pulled over.

 

i have 5% on my mr and i love it. i had 20% on my 03 red VIII and when it was sunny out you could see through it. i like it to be dark


The STi has 5% tint also

 

looks pretty nice, but damn seeing how you're in cali don't be surprised if you get pulled over.. dont forget to roll your front windows down, good luck!

Im loving the 5 percent but i didnt want to do that since i tinted my front window because of all the haters in my area. At night people cant see me what so ever even from the front and day time people can see an image but wouldnt be able to tell who it was.

 

Tint looks nice.
I got ticket for having 20% on my previous car here in Washington state. So I went ahead and did 35% (legal limit) this time on my evo. It's hard to tell windows are actually tinted during daytime. lol

 

I had my rsx with 20 % tint up front and got a fix it it was a 100 $ ticket

 

im rockin' 5% on mine as well. Looks real good.... i like the privacy i get with it.... and it keeps it nice and cool when the sun's beatin' down on that thing in a parking lot..

But man.... i drive in my mirrors lookin for cops!! lol. The trade off i suppose. i think its worth it tho. I'll post up a pic...

what kind of a fix it ticket is $100? everyone whos been busted here in so cal got a fix it for $10-15

 

in LA they raised the price for tint tickets since 2 years ago i belive.

I have 35% (legal limit) on my front windows, and 5% on the back windows and reaer window. In NM the law only states that you have to have the front windows tinted to 35% and the rest can be whatever you want...I'm happy with my tint

 

yup. No longer a fix it ticket. Its an automatic fine and you still need to remove the tint

 

I never got fined for tints before. The law here in MD is 35 with no front. My brother has 20s and he had it for like 3 years now and never got a ticket. They just told me to go get it fixed and inspect it. I hate cops now and days....
