My Time Attack Evo
very nice looking car bro! good job
but as mentioned some post's back , if you lower a EVO to much you do ruin the suspension geometry wich in turn kills the handling and most likely even makes the car unstable with certain manuvers at speed...... and an umpredictable handling car is not fun on a road corse
not to mention its probobly dangrous 2.....
but quick queston to s1mon.
why not start with a EVO RS if you planed on building a time attack car? i meen if it was your intention to build a straight competition car the RS would have defenatly been a much better choice as a starting point.
and belive me to be competetive in time attack you defenatly need to build a straight competition car. its one of those sports were every little bit matters. and something as small sounding as say 1/2 a pound off each wheel or rotor is actually a big deall.
anyways its too late to go back now lol.... so very very nice car it looks awsome
are you just going for a time attack look? or do you plan on atending time attack events with it?
if the later^ you will for sure want to ditch the springs and get a nice set of coil overs. and you might want to throw in a certefied cage lol.....
oh and excuse my spelling... i know it sucks.

Just having springs and a sway don't really make it competitive and having a VTA BOV would degrade your performance on the road course. Is there a Time Attack class for stock cars that allows all those mods listed?
although, it does look like he will be tracking the car (at least i would assume so since the interior looks stripped) which i believe would place him out of any stock class even if mods were accepted...stripped interior places you in another class unless i am mistaken
also, maybe its the pic but the rear wheel looks to have positive camber?
Couldnt wait 3 wks, bought the GSR without SSL instead.

oh yea, you also might want to REALLY consider a 5pt harness especially if you are tracking the car...even if you have the takatas that supposedly prevent sliding underneath the lap belt, 5pt's are the only way to go IMO
Umm I think your cheatting yourself. I think you missed the class on timeattack, if this is just for show then I apologize. But with those mods you have put yourself into a higher class where as WARTALON commented 280's and very nice CO's are common place. Please invest in a atleast a 5pt harness, the last thing you want is internal bleeding due to submarining. Lap belts I hope to see this thing with the aformentioned mods on the way.... If its a work in progress I am sure the crit will not get to you

Thanks for the headsup, the car is going to see the track for another 2 months. The takata crotch strap for 5 point conversion is sitting my garage.
