Whites lack shine
Why is it everytime i see a really nice and dressed car they are not white. I have been having an issue making my WW 05 shine like some of the other colored cars. Any one know any tricks to making White cars stand out ?
um, keep it clean? my ww stands out like crazy after i've detailed it. don't forget the tire glaze and make sure you use some kind of wax-as-u-dry or detailing spray to give it that new paint glow. other than that i'm not sure how much else you can do, we don't have any depth to our paint like something with a deep metallic flake.

Jason i have tried alot of products and even some of the 1,2,3 products Meguiars has or their next gen stuff still doesn't give it that umph that other colors get. Now guys don't get me wrong i love the way WW stands out on the road (no other white can compare) but it just doesn't get that gloss that others get. I want that gloss.
I considered a white car, but the color doesn't reflect like a darker or brighter color does. The awesome lines of the Evo sort of fade away from alot of angles on a white car. It has to do with highlights on the paint. Darker colors will show bright highlights much better since there is more contrast, and therefore exaggerate the edges of the body. It's just more dramatic ... which goes nice with the idea of the Evo itself.

Here's a forum for this question:

Like EvoM, they have a good search.
Look into Poorboy's World EX=P...it's my go to for anything white...and I detail LOTS of cars. And it's just as eve-slow said, white doesn't reflect well, but it can shine close to as well as my TB.
