new Widebody Kit ???? (evo X style)
I took those pictures at the 2005 Tokyo Auto Salon. You can see more here.
NATS is the Nihon Automobile College.
By the way, the NATS web site says (sorry, machine translation here}:
Erm, right.
Anyway, those guys in the picture were first-year students. They worked on that project night and day for several months. It's all hand-made from fiberglass and carbon fiber.
They seem to have used the early spy photos or artists' rendition of the Evo X as their inspiration. In fact, I think they may have got some details from inside Mitsubishi, because they had this look pretty early compared to the actual Evo X concept, which came much later.
NATS has had a display for a bunch of years, and it's always entertaining. There's always something completely off-the-wall -- like the jacked-up 4x4 Mini Cooper -- and there's always something seriously rebodied.
Sure, you might want to barf on this car, but how good a car could YOU produce during your first term of college? A lot of these kids will go on to design the Veilside/Varis/C-West kits of tomorrow. If not the Evo of tomorrow.

As for English inscription of this time “NIHON AUTOMOBILE HIGH TECHNICAL SWith CHOOL”, taking the initial, you used the term of endearment, NATS. After that 1998 (1998) “professional school It renamed the [nihon] automobile college”, but because it is the term of endearment which long time becomes familiar it does not go to either the meaning which is modified and presently has used. Rather than recently calling term of endearment, know nationwide on the other hand as a brand name to cross, if “you mention the automobile comprehensive professional school, with the image of” NATS”” the shank.
