Quote: well the only reason i would get a new one is cause im doing everything myself and i dont have any body shop equipment like frame pullers and stuff.... but i do have a big pole, comealong and 2by4
Well honestly you could get the job done that way. In fact some frame pullers(they cant really be called frame machines) are nothing more then anchor chains and something like a comealong, only its bit more refined. And IMO you could get that rad support straight with the right pulls in the right place. How good are you with your hands??? Just remember to take your time and MEASURE MEASURE MEASURE MEASURE. In fact do you have any friends who own an evo??? Get your measurements from their car and just make lil pulls at a time, until you get it lined up. AND you are going to scar up your paint getting it straight again so do not worry about that when you are pulling on it. If you were around here you could take it my brothers shop and we could pull it out in no time. But anyhoo Good luck and do it right not twice. Later man

OK, I had a similar oops. I had just bumper cover, supports, and hood damage. No frame and no IC/radiator damage...

I got a VIS CF OEM style hood. Ot looks sweet on my black EVO. But I race AutoX and I get bumped up a class for having CF body panels. If you race stay with stock hood. I would get a IX bumper cover. Mine was a couple years ago before the IX bumpers were available.

It kinda just depends on how outragous you want to go. It is a good time to decide. CF hood and IX bumper could work against you on re-sale.

I think the rad support would be the same between the 8 and the 9, but I do not know for sure. I am willing to bet my cars they are the same though, thats how sure I am. But just in case I am wrong, scoot on down to the mitsu dealership and ask the parts person (or if they have a body shop@ the dealership ask them) if there is a difference. I doubt there is. Also once you get your old bumper pulled off see how tanked the lower Rd support is, but to me it looks like there is more upper damage then lower. Happy wrenching and pulling.
