Tein has yet to produce a set for the Evo. The one you saw in the pic was modified from a set for another car.

www.amstuning.com has their own. they are modified Tein's polished up and look real nice. I think they charge a little more than normal but still worth it.

That is the worst setup site in the world. Makes my eye's hurt and navigation on the site sucks.

Redline Tuning makes kits for Evos (black e-coated and stainless steel versions):

http://www.redlinetuning.com/QL-MITSU-EVO-03+.html

That's my Evo on the link with their QuickLIFT ELITE kit installed on it.
Absolutely no problems - still looks & functions like brand new.

I noticed the kit comes with sheet metal screws... did you have to tap new holes or something???

(heck - I'm just glad nobody razzed me about the yellow overlays in the interior... )

My evo is a year-round daily driver, and I'm impressed with how well the hood lift kit has held up to everything they've been put through -- rock-solid in high winds, work normally in sub-zero temps, and even the extra weight of 1/2" coating of ice / 18" wet snow doesn't affect 'em noticeably.

I know a few other Evo owners with these kits, and haven't heard one thing bad about 'em yet.

Yeah, you do have to drill 8 holes -- pop rivets attach the hardware to the hood, and self-tapping screws hold the hardware near the strut towers.

Prep the holes with touchup paint (or even a dab of primer or silicone sealer) and you'll have no corrosion worries.

I'm in Michigan, where they constantly dump tons of salt on the roads, and I have absolutely ZERO corrosion / NO rust!!
