Wingless Trunks that fit 2006 MR?

Hola-

I ran a search and only found limited information, but not enough to really answer my question. Seems like the info that came up was mostly for Ver7 & Ver8's.

I am looking to get a wingless trunk lid for my 2006 EVO MR and am interested to know what trunks would fit onto the car?

I would assume that a trunk from a base EVO RS would fit but I'm not sure and the dealers here in Boston dont know their elbow from the a$$hole and the people at Mistu said they'd call back w/ answer....which was about 2 days ago.

The part numbers off the part number thread dont indicate what year the car's are for which leaves me also wondering what car part number I should get.

Any info would be appreciated.

PS: For those of you who want to know I'm going to take off my current lid w/ the big wing, save that for the track but get this other lid, put a mines lip spoiler on it and use that for my nontrack days (cops have been REALLY interested in my car recently so its time to tone it down a bit )

You could get a cf trunk, because if you are going to buy it from the dealership I could imagine it being pretty expensive. Also check the for sale sections for ppl saling the trunks because they got a cf one.

oh yeah an rs trunk will fit.

Dealers are asking for $370 or so for a new trunk.

I'd consider getting a CF one, can you paint it? I'm more interested in having all the colors match vs having a grey car a big black trunk.

cheers.

Carbon fiber CAN be painted. I have my carbon fiber hood partially painted.

Solid. Figured it could be, but thought I'd double check none the less.

Thanks 03evo4g63!
