EVO IX JDM taillights Amber strip removal?
EVO IX JDM taillights Amber strip removal?
Hi there,
In November i'm getting my IX, but i dont like the JDM taillights with the amber strip.
Is it possible to remove that amber strip?
And the USDM tails have 2 white reverse lights as where the JDM tails have a redand white.
The red one is the back-foglight over here.Is it also possible to make that into a clear one just like USDM tails, but then with a red bulb in it instead of a white?

Yes, you will have to take it apart
Is there anyone that has done this before?
Maybe with some pictures?
Is it for sure it is a plastic piece, and not the housing-color?

hehe, i think you are right.
Someone allready PM'ed me to trade his tails with mine.
But i see there are more people that are interested.I hope this will not start a fight between the members

One more detail --> The JDM Euro taillights dont have 2 white reverse lights. The left one is a red one that we use over here as a rear (red)foglight.
Just wanted to let you guys know so that it's not a surprise when you get them
I get allot of PM's over here now, but i have another question.
In Belgium we need to have a rear foglight and on the USDM taillights there is no foglight.
You can see the foglight on this picture with arrow :

Does anyone know if it is possible to make a foglight of it just by putting in a red bulbs, or do i need to do some rewiring?
Maybe the cable from the left one is comming from the foglight-switch with the JDM ones, and the cable from the USDM is comming from the reverse signal.
So i think if i turn on my foglight with the standard USDM taillights that i will have 1 white light at the back. And if i replace that with a red bulb i have my foglight again.
