Anyone take the Evo spoiler apart?

I searched with no avail. I want to ship mine international and the only easy way seems to be dismantling it and making the box smaller.

BTW - USPS ****'s are ****tards. I go in, give them measurements etc, they say its all good. I go back in to ship it, everything is fine. Then, I get a call from counter at the airport and they say that the size exceeds dimensions by 20"....

I get my shipping money back, but now I am not sure how to ship it. FedEx and UPS want 750 bux...WTF?

I feel so bad for the buyer making him wait!

Any help and advice is appreciated!

I Think when you remove the Bolts from the Trunk and take the sides off theCenter part just Slides out or something, Get a plastic pick thing and poke around after you take it off the car.

Ok, let me clarify:

Mine is off the car - if you read above, I even tried packing and shipping it.

Now, regarding your take the sides of the center comment - how do you do that? Thats the part I am trying to figure out.

It has 3 round heads holding them in.

Is there a special tool to remove these?

EDIT - Here is a picture of the side piece so you can see those round heads!

I don't think you can take that apart. I didn't want to risk damaging it, so I had to build my own box. I'd ask the airport the maximum size you can ship, and go from there.

Just make sure you pack it extremely well!!!

Good luck.

Well, I did pack it super well. Its fit just about right in a golf bag box for u-haul and I had to lenghten it some.

The max lenght + girth (width + height + width + height) = 108 inches. Mine is like 136 inches

I shipped a spoiler to puerto rico through the usps. only cost like 20 bucks. Didn't use a box. Just wrap it in thin carboard.

Yeah, your kind of screwed when you ship big boxes international. It will always be very expensive with the most popular shipping outfits. Where are you shipping to? I would look for an air cargo service that ships to where your destination is, they are usually alot cheaper.

The only other thing you can do is send it by boat (depending on where you are). They usually charge around $5-10 per sq ft. Poland has docks, it's only if the receiver wants to go pick it up...
I sent like half of container to Europe by sea, cost me like $250
