I just got back about 10minutes ago before I asked that question and howcome my 3rd gear keeps sounding like its grinding a little bit??? I don't know if its just notchy or what, but it has a little grind to it? And are you guys serious? You didnt break in your car? The dealer told me there is no break in because the turbo is titanium, but I wanted to go 1K miles to be safe...

eh not only are you babying your car.. but standard break in is 500 miles.. to go all the way to 1k is insane..

but its your car

just dont feel bad if it feels like its a bit slower once it gets older

lol dude heres the basic daily driving tips

when "breaking in" your evo.. drive it like your gunna drive it everyday.. dont keep it under a certian rpm unless ur gunna keep it uner there every day!

i had my second mr.. about a week after i got it i was taking it down a back road redlining it in 1st 2nd n 3rd.. lol

now when i drive.. i feel MUCH more of a pull than my friend who DID break in his car.. n drove it soft for 500 miles

in the owners maunal it states how to break it in its 600miles if you want to wait for 1000miles thats fine but read the manual and dont listen to what people say not to break in the car not even your dealer knows that they should be idiots!

Nice choice!! I had a buddy of mine go back and forth between an evo or an sti, and he chose the evo. Then after he bought it, for some reason, he went to the subi dealer and they told him he made a poor choice. Then they went on bashing the evo. Thousand Oaks Subaru has pretty bad customer service.
