Got a new DSLR Camera yesterday so I started to play around with it. I am a complete photo noob, so I am doing a lot of reading trying to understand the terminology and all the things this camera can and can't do... heres what I managed...

Its a Canon Rebel XT... retails for about $800 at Best Buy for the kit and $700 without the kit.

I got this camera as an award from work... you get to pick from like 15 to 20 things and I didn't have any use for some of the other items. Basically like I said, a complete noob that is trying to learn the lingo and get up and going with it, I think it could become a good hobby..

But, a few of my more in the know friens have played with it and have been quite impressed and I've read some fairly positive reviews about it.

Nice!

I took the 'Lancer' and 'SE' badges off mine yesterday, looks much cleaner now. I felt bad throwing the SE badge away, so I just put it on the center console in front of the shift boot.

I have a few tips on vehicle positioning on the S2000 forum:
http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php...&#entry8826411

I can help with settings (iso, aperture, shutter speeds, angles, etc) if you need help with those.

Good info. What I have been doing lately is taking pics I like and looking at the details/settings that where used to take the picture. I realize that doesn't tell the whole story, but it gives me a bit of an idea.

If you have any sites with some good reading and basic information give me the links...
