Do any of you have a heat shield/barrier on the underside of your hood to protect your hoods?
I looked at reusing the stock stuff, but I really don't want to have to drill holes into my hood. I was looking for something with an adhesive on the other side to attach it to the underside of the hood to protect it from the engine heat and protect the clearcoat from cracking due to the expansion/contraction from heat and cold.
I was thinking of trying that Dynomat Extreme. I've heard people use it for sound deading and for heat barriers.
What are you all using or what do you suggest?

I had a carbon hood on my turbo s2000 for a year and it never cracked. But if your really worried about it Ive used Koolmat in the past and it worked good
I would think the underhood temps of an Evo would be a little hotter than an S2000.
Do you have a link to a place that sells Koolmat?

I think you need to worry about the sun moreso then what's going on under the hood. My seibon has lasted a while.

look at page 2 pics (and a few on page 1). I swapped in the stock headshield, vent, mesh, and windshield squirters
