Turbo-XS RFL Ti catback installed! (video added)
Just AWSOME!!!
At WOT is L O U D... but cruising around is not bad! No taper, no nothing! almost completely straight from the cat and back... It is 76mm (3")... Can't wait for the dowpipe and HFC... Because i drive the car every day, i may try the Apexi Active Silencer...we 'll see...

Enjoy!

Thanks guys...
Its the Authority heat shield. Nice piece and needed! Not only looks but performance also! no black and burned bumper for me...
When you say cruising volume is "not bad", do you mean:
A. Can get to store without hearing loss, or
B. Can drive gf to Vermont B&B and actually converse on the way?
And can I assume cruising is in the 3k - 3.5k rpm range on the highway?
If you are still on the A046's, can you still hear them?
Nice pix, enjoy that new exhaust!

I got the exhaust from another EVO owner. The install was pretty straight forward. I got a new installation kit (gaskets, bolts etc). Some things that i noted during the install:
1. we had to trim the lambda sensor hanger to fit the 76mm pipe. Pretty easy...
2. we drilled a small hole and wired down the sensor wire away from the pipe and cat so it doesn't touch and maybe melt from the heat...
3. The original inner hanger of the original muffler is not used any more. One hanger less but it doesn't matter, as the TXS muffler is smaller and lighter from the original.
4. when you connect the midpipe on the cat, you use the stock gasket and bolts. Its a direct fit, eventhought that the TXS pipe is MUCH bigger... tight it and everything's ok...
5. For those who don't know, the TXS RFL Ti DOESN'T taper anywhere. its 100% 76mm piping...
6. It has one resonator on the midpipe. its a straight 76mm. a soda can slips in the midpipe from one way to another...
Now, as far as the noise is concerned... I have to say that the exhaust when you floor it is LOUD. I haven't heard too many exhausts to compare, but i guess its louder from the Greddy EVO2 and similar, and i guess its not louder than the non-resonated catbacks...
If you close your windows while on the highway and find the ideal pressure on the gas, then you can make it sound like the stock exhaust, up to around 3500rpm...
The WOT is very interesting... Its not high pitched... Its a deep loud sound. Its sounds as its supposed to sound for a turbocharged car. Before i drive the car after the install, i turned down my hallman half a turn (that's around 1 psi i think). However, i still have 22psi overboost, meaning that the catback gave me some boost pressure...
Evolovinit:
A. Driving around normally you only feel the deep sound...
B. Yes you can. But that's me. I used to drive a N/A car with a 13:1 compression ratio and racing exhaust with 8800rpm rev limit back in Greece every day... Nothing is louder than that... :-D

in response to loudness...
i had it on my evo 8 with a cat and it was "too loud" for my taste. at highway speeds, it'll drone. you'll fight for your conversations and your music. if you're looking for quiet, this isn't exactly it. it's got a great sound, and it isn't TOO loud... but if quiet is a key buy-factor... i'd look elsewhere.
also, i had a type R with a type one Ti exhaust which was EXTREMELY loud ~105-110db (so loud that i lost hearing). so i do know what loud is... but maybe i am just getting old.
