yay or nay....

about to drop my car off to get the bbs wheels powdercoated white. This will be for my winter setup which includes: white bbs, Snow tires, Raised up 2 inches, red ralliart mudflaps. thanks.

The photoshop was done by somebody in the photoshop forum.

I would skip the white powdercoating - they will get extremely dirty very fast.. Not that you plan on cleaning your winter setup often, it's just going to *look* dirty all of the time..

I would really like to see the mudflaps though - which ones are you getting?

+1 The regular graphite color definetly wouldnt look as dirty.

I've heard that the powdercoating process will weaken the wheel.

I would NOT powdercoat a BBS wheel.

Paint them, if you want them a different color.

i've heard this as well, but how can someone be sure of this. Has someone actually heard nightmare/seen stories of wheels that been powdercoated and something happend after the process??

nay. Get different color. White on white is so-so. I would do gold or black.. maybe even bronze. The car will stand out more IMO.

This is a rumor there is no proof of this.

Powdercoating is the way to go... jsut make sure to call around and tell them you are powdercoating wheels and you need them to do the low temp process.


I like the wheels white ... its different .... but yes if they are your winter set up they will get real dirty.
