Carbon Fiber trunk spoiler... any interest?
We are currently making some CF trunk spoilers for the Evo CT9A. I will get some pics up by next week
We will be making 2 types of trunk spoilers.
Type 1. Trunk spoiler for wingless Evo's
Type 2. Trunk spoiler that will fit the factory wing.
We will see how the Type 2 trunk spoiler will look once installed with and without the factory wing. This way you can have the option to switch back and forth with your factory wing incase you get tired of the look.
Yes its the Mine's replica trunk spoiler and as far as pricing goes... your looking at half price shipped. Both spoilers will be in FRP and CFRP. For me I personally like a trunk spoiler that will match the color of my car so if you want a FRP version we can have them painted at a cheap price.
Trying to get an idea of what you guys prefer...type 1 or type 2..in CF or CFRP?
Need some feedback
Thanks!
Update as of Nov 10th! Pics as promised and will get some install pics hopefully tomorrow when the rain stops
This is the Type 1 trunk spoiler. Type 2 will be later as we are working on a new mold to make it fit the factory wing.

Half the price of a Mines replica is still alot. Considering where it's made from???
But still interested on how it will look though.

I have a friend who owns a shop just outside Taipei city and he makes quality DRY CARBON FIBER for Skylines and other high end cars. I have seen his work and its top notch and he showed me a Evo part that he made for a JDM company. Want to know what it was? Its the dry carbon spark plug cover from Kansai...yes that piece is made in Taiwan and its a quality piece no doubt. So be careful on what you buy nowadays because you be surpised that your only paying for that logo when the actual product is from another country like Taiwan or China. I am not saying all japanese parts arent made in japan but you know if it doesnt say "made in japan" stamped on the product then most likely you know where its coming from
Just sharing some info thats all

/\ +1 and have it sit on top of the trunk unlike the Mines one where it wraps the lip of the trunk. Don't get me wrong the Mines one is hot but I think it would look better if it didn't wrap the lip of the trunk leaving a big peice of uneven carbon fiber across the back of the trunk.
