turboXS rfl TI installed w/ pics and vid
whats up guys. saturday night i had a chance to get this thing on. bought it used from a member on here, got a nice deal on it. also had a friend daniel, tweakdsm, come over and help me strap it up. fairly decent install, went smoothly. only thing that was a pain was the bolts connecting the stock downpipe to the turbo were tight as hell. was hard to get in there because of the splashguard, didnt remove it, and it was hard to get leverage laying on your back!!! either way they came off, and everything else broke free pretty easily. i assembled the downpipe, testpipe, and catback outside, put a blanket down, and slid it right under the car. perfect fit and it bolted right up. had to use washers on the front tie bars to clear the downpipe, but i guess that is the issue with a lot of downpipes.
as far as looks this exhaust is pretty damn good. i was too lazy to polish up the car and tip before i put it on, so its dirty, but other than that this thing has a great finish. as you can see from the pics its a straight design.
performance overall is pretty good. spool up is definately a tad earlier and more linear. the day after i installed a forge evo BOV and that tightens up spool a bit too. BTW if you want a BOV for sound, the forge is not the one to get. i could hear my stocker IX valve slightly, the forge i cannot at all, even under heavy throttle. oh well, its the performance that counts.
sound is great from this exhaust. i had a full AMS turboback on my last. compared to that, it is slightly less loud and raspy. the AMS sounded super mean and raspy, and i loved it. this is a little more low key. its loud at WOT, but cruising its nice and deep. more of an espilir sound to it than an AMS/buschur. only thing i can complain about is how loud it is now inside the car. i guess thats the case with any aftermarket, it was like that with my AMS too. i really like this exhaust, so ill get used to it!!

Looks really good... you could try uploading the movie on Google video or Yahoo video. Streetfire.net is also a popular option. Shouldn't be hard to make an account and get it uploaded on any of those sites.

are you sure thats the TI? because on lancershop the RFL TI has the blue titanium tip. Looks good im thinking about getting that model for christmas, only catback though, does it mount to the stock cat.
