Had a great vacation in the Philippines and one of my "car guy" uncles showed me around Manila. We didn't get to go to some of the bigger Evo tuner shops, but you will see it wasn't disappointing at all. Didn't have enough vacation time, but maybe next time I'll get to see more.

yeah the PI is CRAZY!!!??!?! with mitsus. Evos there are like honda civics here in the US. not that hondas are bad but just the popularity of the vehicle

 

They have a lot in Cebu as well. Last time my wife and I went back, saw a few around Cebu City.

So the day after the 1st visit to Orange, I went to lunch with my wife and another uncle, at The Fort (a popular bar/restaurant/hangout area in Manila) and saw this baby at the parking lot.









It's an Evo 9 RS with the aluminum roof, in case you were wondering.

By the way, fourth pic from the top. Is that what it looks like? Are my eyes deceiving me, or is that an auto tranny with sequential shift on the wheel? Maybe I'm an idiot, but someone please explain that one to me.

 

You are not an idiot... you just willnot see that car here in the US at all.

It's an Evo 7 GT-A and yes it's an automatic Evolution! I want to get my wife one soo bad! And believe me... in Manila traffic, it's not a bad car to get. hehe..

 

Yeah, I'll bet. I remember an old thread where some kid was getting flamed for how to make his Evo automatic. Seemed like it would make sense if you aren't in love with a clutch or you sit in traffic all day.
