Australian delivered 07 spec EVO IX
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they discontinued the IX in the states because all 07 models needs to have side airbags. Something about a new law that was passed. I think they discussed it a while back in some other forums. But back to the car yes its very nice in white, but I was wondering since its an MR what happen to the factory gauges? I know the factory gauges is crappy but still wouldn't you think they give you some sort or gauge set, maybe upgrade the gauges to something better? I dunno just thought I'd asked...
good point EVO IX, now that i look at it, it doesn't seem to have the gauge set that we get here standard with the MR's. if it was possible, i would take their climate control over the stock MR gauges :-)
what's the big deal with it being right hand drive? is this just the "grass is greener" effect?
can't tell from the photo...do you get the al. roof standard on the model as the SEs come here?. I actually like that head unit, and the double din improves the car a lot... (come on, Phil @ 201 - come through for us!

I heard the JDM and "other" evos get the ic sprayer, hid's, etc. etc. basically everything on our 8's and 9's all in one package. Including the ayc. Is that true?

Alot of people have mentioned model types like MR, SE etc and in Australia our EVO range is limited to one car basically what I have minus those BBS rims and the Bilstien suspension. In AU we get those BBS mags and suspension as a factory option they call the performance pack. My car without those 2 items is stock standard.

Even the EVO 8s we had came in just the one model, exactly the same as the 9 really with the same option of a performance pack. I think however their was an option for a full leather interior, plus a few other factory options like the nine offers.
We do have some JDM EVO 8 MR models here that have been imported in from auctions, but the standard 8 was a limited Mitsubishi import (couple hundred only) and the 9 is the first EVO to be aloud to be imported in as many as they can sell, not just a couple hundred like previous models.
