Says it took him 5-6 hours.... hahah that would take a pro-detailer about 3-3.5 hours to buff, swirl removal then micro polish for halograms, Add some paint sealant and top it off with some carnuba wax. Rain-X the windows tire shine the tires and Acid clean the wheels..

Price 120.00-150.00

Who would pay 120.-150. to get your very oxidized red evo detailed?

In order to keep red from oxidizing you need to keep wax on it all the time. Mine doesn't show any signs of oxidization after almost 4 years of owning it and almost 60K miles on it. I also wax it about once a month out of bordom and it never sits outside unless I'm out. If I'm home, its in the garage. My wing is holding up too.

Well smart *** let's see you do it in 3.5 hours...I am a pro detailer and I doubt I can even match his time for a complete restoaration. Go to a auto-body shop and show me a car they cna do that fast that actually has all the swirls removed with no buffer burn and no micro marring...if you want a quality job, you pay well and wait.

BTW $120-150 is a bargain for what he did...no way I'd do that amount of work for such a low price; my going rate would be $200 for that (though I'd include interior work as well, but still).

When I worked at a body shop I did that all the time. Although I never knew the prices becuase it was apart of the restore price, it does take some time. Leave the pad in one spot a lil to long and u can burn a whole edge.

It is a bit labor intensive but nothing I would have $200 for cuz its something that we can all do with a little time.

Do all RR do that? Or was this just a bad case of oxidation?

The funny thing is he could easily do it.....so where did you get your pro detailers certificate at? They sell those on ebay?

Not to jump into someones pool...but pro is short for professional which is derived from profession. If this gentleman makes his living as an auto detailer/restorer then that would indeed be his profession which by rule makes him a detailing professional. No certificated needed. Though I'd gladly photoshop one and put it on eBay if you'd be interested in purchasing such a thing. Just to touch back on the "Pro" aspect of things for a second...put it into something like athletics. You have "athletes", "amatures", and "professionals". Professionals don't have a certificate, but they are paid to do it and make a living of it. Last I checked, Michael Jordan never had a certificate stating he was a PRO basketball player.

Just my .02

PS I have no idea who the guy is that you insulted, I just found your comment narrow minded and uneducated. Thanks!

well as you know your correct, but the term professional also can mean expert and 10 other things. If you quit being obtuse and figure out what I was trying to say you might have noticed that I was trying to say is that just because you work at a certain job doesnt make you good at it. Uneducated....why do I laugh?!? Narrow minded...yes.

It's amazing what you can do with a buffer and some meguiar's products. I have to wax my car by hand and it's tiring...I could really use a buffer right now. Don't get me wrong, detailing tires you out, even if you have a buffer. Like you have to wash it, clay it, polish it, and then wax...in this case he had to wash it first and then clay, and then use the buffer with some products, and work his way through to remove the oxidation. After that, he waxed it.
