actualy i am a civil engineer...yes i am arab...lived in the states (Ohio State Uni.) and played ice hockey for the j.v. buckeyes..
moved back to dubai (due to a knee injury) and continued my education here...in the coming year i might be going back to the states..this time to DC to persue my masters degree..

excuse me sir but that is complete Bullshiznit...yes a smaller number could mean you are rich..because of the fact that you can buy plate numbers but no it doesnt mean you are close to the royalty...believe it or not...most people here (except new comers) are close to the royalty...in one way or another..royalty here are friendly people...in occassions (ie Eid ~muslims xmass~; Ramadan) and other times...their doors are open to everyone..and anyone..you dont have to know the Sheikh (a member of the royal family) personally to pay him a visit..they welcome everyone.

back to the plate numbers thingy..if you notice..i preffered a number kinda hard to memorize..that is because i dont like my car to be memorable...i mean not that there are as many evos as there are ferraris and lambos but ... a good "short" plate number tends to be memorable here...and yes dubai is that small...it is even smaller than columbus a total of 4million people


please feel free to ask anything..this is what i call second hand cultural experience
