how is autometer lame?

im suprised no1 said anything....

lets see its cheap...
looks completely stock...
doesn't block anything, unless you plan on going over 155
and is in perfect view, where a gauge should be

gauge pods aren't suppose to be hip and cool.... they look good and are functional...

so if ya can fill me in why its lame?

Guess I should show my setup

Revo Rev2 Boost Guage [its a blue led, but photo turned out purple]

Just a pod holder with some adhesive holding it. Looking for a cleaner Autometer Steering Column pod tho.

well there can be a disadvantage to running an a-pillar setup. through road racing and autocross, you want to be able to see as much through a corner as you can; however, the a-pillar can block your vision at times. having guages on the a-pillar can just cause more blockage than before. That's why you rarely ever see racecars with guages down the a-pillar, because you want to have the best vision you can. The ultimate goal is to make your a-pillars as small as possible. but for daily driving, then i don't see how there could be any disadvantage. Oh and to the op, i have the rmr cf gauge pod. It's a good setup, but the bottom of the steering wheel hits my gauge when i turn it. i'll post up pics in a few minutes.

same as PKEVO8. its the RMR pod. thats the one i was looking for pictures in my original post.

by far the best setup for a single guage.

I've got a autometer boost gauge in an autometer pod on the steering column in my mustang. Exactly like the Evo pod except its on the other side. Looks great and fits great, I would definitely recommend it for a single gauge. The RMR kit blocks the tach a bit too much.
