Got Titanium?
I'm not hating but, this is getting ridiculous. Yeah, it's extra weight sure but, it is not the worst place for weight to be on a car. It is about as low as you can get it. Most of it is to the rear of the car which isn't ideal (center would be ideal) but, it doesn't hurt the weight distribution since our cars are so nose heavy.
They are cool pieces but, not for my money.

Hehehe yah the pricing on the Amuse Ti system is crazy - you have to be pretty baller to own one.
As for the MSRP, that's just the MSRP, if you guys know us, you know we do them for a hair over 2k.
Here's the deal on Ti:
Greddy systems - nice but seam welded rolled-sheet titanium from China. So-so welds, medium wall thickness on the sheet.
Amuse - Seamless drawn Ti tube from a Japanese foundry that supplies aerospace, with an incredible wall thickness of 0.75mm. Excellent TIG welds.
There's a reason seam welded tube isn't allowed in NHRA spec roll-cages - seamless is just stronger.
Honestly the Amuse system is damn pricey - but there's a reason for the added cost.
Cheers,
Gary

A stainless steel version is good enough. Saving weight at the bottom rear portion of the car is almost pointless on a front heavy vehicle like the Evo. Center of gravity will be barely be affected. The weight savings are not even that great compared to price.
i just did a quick search and found this
OEM Exhaust Weights
Stock Muffler 19 lbs
Stock Pipe To Muffler 16.5 lbs
Stock Downpipe 10.5 lbs
Stock Cat 12.5 lbs
if u were to put say an Aspec titanium straight pipe to that catback u will be losing alot of weight. losing 30lbs is ok in my book!

maybe its just me, but seeing a $2000 price tag for an exhaust seems normal. the reason is because my brother drives a s2000, and majority of the people on the s2ki forum has amuse/j's racing ti exhaust which goes for around $2000.
also, parts on the s2000 is expensive, like their intake starts at like $500, but i could be wrong.
all in all, i think you made a great investment for the exhaust, i think its worth every penny.
