I had no choice but to park my EVO in my sister's condo parking lot while I went to her bar exam swearing in. I figured it would be ok since there are alot of high end cars parked in the lot, but I was SOO wrong.
Long story short, I come back to find 2 scratches (keyed), one on the front fender and one on the rear fender, and a dent on my rear fender from someone smashing they're door open into my car.
Basically some random person pulled up along side of my car, smashed they're door into it, got out and put 2 scratches in my car and left or parked somewhere else.
This happened over a month ago and my car has been sitting because I don't even want to be reminded by it, let alone look at it. I just got done installing new leather seats from when someone broke into my car 3 months ago ( I caught him) and now this..I can't win.
To make matters worse my insurance is so ridiculously high I am sure I an in the top 2 percentile of EVO owners and I am 27 years old. So I would really not want to go through insurance because of this. I already have a vandalism on my insurance that made my rates go up, among other things.
What I really need to know is a second opinion for this body work. I was given an estimate of 1300 from a pretty decent place, but they wanted to "fill" the dent and "blend" my hood and doors as they paint over my clearcoat ect.. Is all that really necessary?? I keep very good care of my paint and would like it to be as much original as possible. Does this dent look like something a PDR guy can do?? It is right on the edge of the rear fender flare, and also the scratches will not buff out, they go into the clearcoat and through the paint by the looks of it.
If anyone experienced could give me a 2nd opinion I would love to hear it. Thanks in advance!!

Camel fleas, awesome
I had to immobilize the person who I had caught breaking into my car prior to this until he "seized" with a push broom..I wish I would have seen this happen because anything having to do with my car being damaged I go into berzerker mode..

The scratches actually look like they will buff out. The dent I don't know it is in a really bad place. How much you paying for insurance these are comprehension claims your break in and this vandalism so it shouldn't hurt your insurance at all. Good luck.
You can probably get away with just painting the fender and quartel panel. Just find a body shop with a good painter that knows how to match colors. That dent can probably be pushed out. Just take it to a PDR place to get an estimate.

They wont buff out, it is through the clear and into the paint, they have alreay been buffed and that is what is left..Lets just say I pay well over 300 a month, and yes, in my case the comprehensive case made my insurance go up..I suck at life I guess

I would love for this to happen, but you know how it is with body shops..I almost want to do it myself lol!! I trust no one with my car so I really need to find someone..Guess I will call up the local lambo/aston/bently dealer and see who they use or even have them do it, if they can do it right..
that sucks..... i was at a hotel once and i purposely parked my car at the other end of the lot which was totally empty for about 100 yard radius around my car, so i wake up and go outside in the morning and someone parked right next to my car trying to be funny and left a ding in my door.. so i took out my knife and left a nice gouge down the whole side and kicked the mirror off.
Dude,its called wet sending.
100 bucks should do. Had almost the same - my wife was backing out of the garage and "didn't notice" the evo. I went to the dealership and they are like- REPAINT!!!! Then to one of the bodyshops that services all local sti/evo crowd. Took the guy 20 minutes to wetsend it and buff it. I couldn't tell where the scratches were and they were through clear coat to the paint...
So don't stress it.
