255s on a 9.5 is not bad at all. I just raced on 255/40/17 on a 9.5" wheel this weekend. next set of tires I am going to step down to 245/40/17 on the same 9.5" wheel... yes, to race on. no, i am not the only one who is doing this. yes, nationals have been won on this setup.

Props on the ZR+520's man. That was the exact sizing I was planning to get. Is it the hyper gunmetal color? I thought they would look more irridescent grey than matte grey, but maybe it's the lighting.

Nah, not too bad...rolled rear fenders. The 275 Kuhmos actually rub worse than the 285 BFGs. (smaller diameter)

 

for most of us, we have different wheel/tire combo for fun.. and who drives their car like a maniac on public roads?

With a tire stretched like that you don't have to drive like a idiot to ruin a perfectly good wheel. One good sized pothole you you didn't happen to see would ruin the wheel and your day for sure. That wheel has very little to zero protection for the lip.

 

Hahahaha...you either don't know me at all, or have one ridiculous definition for maniac if you think that's how I drive. I spend more time working to reach sloppy drivers and effectively correcting them before they kill someone than the DMV.
