I'd like to know where you are getting your info from.
My statement still stands as pretty much the same as a TE37 or CE28.
Pretty much the same is +1/-1 pound to me.
Thats the first time I've heard a CE28 in a 17 inch size weighs in at 13 lbs. I'd like to know where you get your info from, because it doesn't sound right to me. Last time I weighed a 17 inch CE28, it came out to almost 17 lbs.
Get back to me mate! Hopefully with a picture on a scale!

there is a big difference when the wheel is rolling, there is a formula which you should find if you do a search on google. basically if you save 2 lbs weight on a wheel you work this into the formula and you will find that the rolling weight saving is drastically higher than the standing 2lbs, so a 1 or 2 lbv differance in a wheel is actually a lot when you work out the formula and multiply that by four wheels.
on the weight of your ce28 just stating that it was a 17 is very vague judging by what you say it being 17lbs it was posibly a 17x9.5 or 17x10. which would be a lot heavier than a 17x7.5. reason i quoted 17x7.5 figures as i said in the post was because it was the only size in which i could find the three volk/rays engineering light weight rims in the same size. i will weigh my se37's when i have a tyre off next but they are 17x9.5 so will be heavier than the weight for the 17x7.5 which you have issue with.
if i recall correctly a wheel weighing 17 lbs will weigh 34 lbs while the car is accelerating ,it's something to do with the forces being applied, once the car is up to cruising speed the advantage of light rims is gone. so 3 lbs saving in weight on one wheel translates to roughly 6lbs under acceleration multiply that by 4 wheels and you save 24 lbs which is nearly 2 stone while under acceleration by buying a wheel that is 3lbs lighter than standard, so every pound makes a difference when you want to save weight on a track, it may be even more but i cannot remember the formula.

^ Probably by getting the unified atomic mass of the components that make up "stone". I doubht 1 gram of stone weights 14lbs though... LOL totally off topic but wanted to add.
