And to the kids who think that you need to stay race ready all the time its only a matter of time till you hurt yourself or someone else. Im pretty sure that BuiltS-13 Has 2 Cars and more than one set of wheels. I am also pretty sure with his set up on the black car he has no intentions of racing every car with a loud exhaust. If you guys are serious racers you should all realize Fast And The Furious is just a movie. If your trying to race every car next to you you still haven't made it to the stage in your life when you realize sometimes its ok to just look good. Especially when everything he has done is completely reversible. Do you know his car will be making 500 hp soon....How many of you guys with huge tires can say that......Honestly This is why a lot of people just read our forum and not even bother to post. A car enthusiast would appreciate all cars in all aspects even if its not to your taste you have to admit its not easy to pull off what someone our board members on here do without a lot of work.
Couldn't help myself. I make 488whp. I run 295s. The reason the second fastest Evo you mentioned... Cyber Evo runs a stretched tire is due to having to run the same diameter tire for the awd drivetrain. By putting the same size tire front and rear and then running a wider wheel up front the actual section width of the tire gets larger. The gives the same od tire with a wider tire up front. This attempts to remedy the Evos tendency to understeer due to being very heavy up front.

For having a widebody they could be running 295s on 18x11s. Why don't you look at the SSE car... It's the new benchmark for all other evos to be compared to.

I think I've posted these here before, if not in this thread, somewhere on the forum. Anyway... TE37SL 18X11 +18 with 30/65R18 Michelin Race Slicks (roughly 315/30R18), 1200mm of tread!

Actually, the 18X10.5 +30 NT03 will fit on all 4 corners of an EVO without spacers. And with a good roll and pull, you can run some Hoosier R6 275/35R18 on those.

Here's my take on the whole thing... Hellaflush is cool when you get the widest wheel and tire possible. If I can(and have) run an 18X10.5 +30 with a 275/35R18 with modified stock fenders, an 18X9.5 +15 with a 215 is half assed and doesn't impress me. Try an 18X12 with a 245, now that would be impressive and aggressive.

Next fall, I might just get the full Voltex widebody extended flares jobbies, just to run 18X13s with 345/30R18s and never have to brake again... With that much tire you can scrub off enough speed to stay on track just by turning the steering wheel.

Don't forget the much stiffer sidewalls that the tires they use have........compared to those of you who run wanli's, sunny's, and linglong tires.

Biggie,

Can you take some pics of your rear suspension bits? specifically your trailing link? Also are you running a 6" Free length spring up front? Thanks for sharing!

I think you should take into consider, hellaflush/stance nation doesnt necessarily mean stretched tires, it's really wide wheels and making them fit to sit flush which i think is what the majority of what we think looks best on any car. The issue is that guys take it way too far and wheels that have no business being on their car and are forced to stretch tires and run crazy neg camber.

I think we can all agree that wheels that sit flush with the fenders look great on every car, with that said dont cop out on stretch the tires, do the necessary work to make the right size tire fit with those wheels.
here's a crappy garage photo:

I'm sorry, but when did ANYONE say ANYTHING about street racing? I don't care if it's for pure aesthetics or not, a 215 tire on a damn 18x10 inch wheel is more ****ed up than two boys kissing. Period.

I agree with the fact that a lot of people in this thread are just jealous haters, but don't try to act like there is any benefit to stretching a tire that far. That's just absurd.

[QUOTE=Joemflsxe;9130932]

Back on topic, 275's on 18x9.5 +27 NT03's (10mm spacer up front), proper photoshoot later next week after the car comes back from the bodyshop.

What did you do to get those to fit in the rear? Bumper tab relocation, roll and pull, and camber?
