Fact is I've been around long enough and had enough sets of genuine Volks to spot a knock off set when I see one. Yeh, I messed up when it came to sizing but the wheel face and spoke design in that pic is not typical of a Rays wheel

another obvious fact is you havent been around long enough to be able to determine a wheel from being a replica or genuine just by looking at pictures ONLINE. lmfao

I've owned both reps and real. I have no issue with either. It sounds *** backwards, but if Ray's made the TE in +20 regularly (instead of special orders) I'd be all over that *****.

I do have a problem with someone trying to pass off replicas as the real deal.

Not saying that is the case here (I don't have much experience with 18X10 Volks. Just 18X9.5 so I have no idea how they are supposed to look).

Any mods on the rear trailing arm? I have the same wheels with 285 hoosier r100s and im positive that the trailing arm will chew the sidewalls out on hard cornering. But i guess it just depends if the tires run wide.

To the topic at hand. I fail to see how I have been proven wrong re: authenticity of alleged wheels. Our kiwi friend has merely shown they are available in the stated size and offset, this doesn't prove anything

I'll reiterate (I'm not sure why as you come across as a little 'thickle'), I don't care what wheels or parts people use. My point was/is/remains what good is a wheel thread when the information provided isn't accurate? Imitation wheels even in the same size and offset as their genuine counterpart wheel differ in design (spoke, concavity etc)

Fact remains (I'll exaggerate my point here and put it into units of measurement you may be familiar with) I've had more sets of Rays wheels than civilian causalities in the Middle East (hint - f'n heaps) so I find it easy to spot a fake. Mister DCIVN is doing exactly that > deceiving us

The trailing arm has been untouched and Im running a 3mm spacer to clear the wheel from touching the arm.

 

varrstoen es3 18x10.5 all around +15 front +22 rear 225-40-18

So I've been looking everywhere for what spacer to run on an Evo 8 to have my XXR 527 18x8.75 +35 clear the Brembos and not rub. Every article I keep seeing is for the +20 variant.

 

are those the biggest spacer you can run without rub
