AMS or BUSCHUR exhaust thread
I had a thread when I installed my BR tbe exhaust, but I had rearranged some of my images on the site hosting my images.
Here are a few pics after I installed the exhaust.

I also have a video with the exhaust on youtube.

I liked the sound of the exhaust, but with so many more people getting the exhaust, I wanted a change. I cut the muffler off and put it in the cat location. I found out this is what has been done on David's RS as well. I had BR reweld the exhaust for me and it turned out great.
From the back of the car it appears that it is a straight pipe exhaust. I also had the rolled edge tip cut to remove the rolled edge. If you walk past the car it appears as close to a stock exhaust that I could get.

I do not have a sound clip with the muffler placement in the cat location, but it did change the tone.
Here are a few comparisons between the two companies.
How much $$ do I want to spend?
- AMS EVO VII/VIII/IX Turbo Back w/Test Pipe $999.95
- Buschur Racing EVOLUTION VIII or IX 3" Full Turboback Exhaust
$825 Shipped! ( in the continental U.S.)
What do I want from an exhaust?
- AMS - 100% 304 stainless steel
- BR - 100% 304 stainless steel
What kind of muffler do I want and where do I want it?
- AMS

- BR

What Diameter piping do I want?
- AMS - 3in diameter
- BR - 3in diameter
I am not going to say which company I think is the best between AMS or BR. Either exhaust is certain to have great quality and craftsmanship or else the two companies would not be as large as they are.
I am also not responsible if the offers/pricing on the websites has changed.
Good luck with your decision

Does anyone have a picture of the AMS or Buschur exhausts from under that car...Like wen it's up on the lift.
And does any1 know off the top of their head if either make just a straight 3' Pipe exhaust with no test pipe or anything...Kinda like the Greddy TI exhaust just straight pipe with a muffler...Any pics and answers would be mucho appreciated!

Hey has anyone had any issues with there buschur exhaust leaking. I know they dont have any flexpipe sections so i think mine is leaking under acceleration where the o2 housing meets the dp. Let me know...thanks
It's all up to personal preference!
Buschur and AMS both make good quality products, but if you want to save money and weight go Buschur. If you want to pay a little extra for more style and bling go AMS. Either or they both get the job done with significant HP & TQ gains. On my EVO, I go Buschur all the way! I guess it's all up to personal preference and the pocket of the customer.
MY SUPER SET UP: Buschur Downpipe, AMS Test Pipe, Buschur CAT back, AMS muffler with Buschur tip and AMS bolts, and Buschur installation manual... you can get this gangster exhaust set up at: http://www.imsofakingstupid.com/
