So the kit that SpeedElement sells isn't everything you need? I was planning on grabbing the IX conversion kit from them. The kit they sell comes w/front bumper retainer, top mesh grill, and emblem. They said you re-use the lower IC mesh, lower corner mesh grills.

You can try re-using the lower IC mesh and the lower corner mesh grills... but your oil cooler duct won't work and you will have to make these mesh pieces fit different shapes then they were intended to. Good luck if you choose to do it that way, and if you decide to pick up the other parts, you now have a list.

The evodave vents or what?? More than likely not because the vents are different shapes... that's why I had to get a new oil-cooler vent. The holes for the screws are completely different.

Just about ready convert the front, however your "two bolts exposed" kinda startled me... which bolts are you reffering to?

** UPDATED** There are a few other parts that will be necessary if you wish to complete the entire swap, such as undertray and all the necessary items that attach to the undertray. If you decide on the SE lip, there are additional parts that are necessary to match up to the undertray. I'll try to get those part numbers from the body shop or dealership if necessary.

What other parts are you talking about? When I did my IX front conversion w/ SE lip. It mated up fine with my 8 under tray.

I have a rally red bumper I am selling..I was told by speed element that only the top portion of the mesh and beam is need which will cost somewhere in $200 and rest of the mesh can reused from evo 8 bumper.

It is OEM RR Evo 9 bumper and lip

Hi, the kit we sell is basically a starter kit. The package consists of front bumper, lower lip, lower ic pipe cover, front bumper retainer, upper mesh and mitsubishi tri-star emblem. All other small screws, taps, bits and pieces are all re-useble if you still have your stock evo 8 front. We have done many conversions here at the shop, so instead of buying every single pieces that would eventually add up the overall cost (over $1500 from dealership ) , we felt this way is more cost effective.
