Nearly all the damage on this car could have been avoided if you still had the rear crash beam installed. You could have driven away with just a few light scratches. That’s why I’d never switch to the JDM bumper.

That really sucks. I would let your insurance company know about all of your upgrades that you couldn't switch out. The other party's insurance company should reimburse you for all of your loss, especially considering you're not at fault. My brother was reimbursed for all of his loss after an accident a few years back with the modded eclipse. He walked away with a nice check, even though the insurance companies had to fight it out. Good luck.

I have to ask...did your rear wing survive?

Glad to hear you are okay. Make sure you keep in touch with a doctor...cause your back may hurt for a few months. I wish the best for you.

Hope you get an evo IX.

you're out of your mind if you think the crash beam would have even halfway stopped ANY of that damage...

Don't worry bout it man, I'd feel the same way as you if that happened to my car. glad to hear you're safe!

Sorry about your accident man, could have been worse. Physically you will recover, mentally and emotionally that's another question. A new IX or X would go a long way toward your recovery. Unfortunately with all the ice and snow that we've had in the last few days the chances of an accident increases exponentially. Even worse, Jersey drivers suck @$$, no offense to you. I live in DE. and have more than a few close calls with those drivers. A separate DD ftw. Good luck with everything man.

Life goes on, take a long hard look in the mirror. That is the only thing that counts, your health. You'll feel better ina week or so, until then stay safe, and be thankful....

sorry to haer about your luck, dude. Good thing you are ok. See what you can buy the car back from th insurance company for and then try to sell the wrecked car to a scrapper. you might even make some money, homie! Evos hold there value well so if the insurance totals it you should get a pretty good chunk of change. Be the first kid on your block with an evo X!

Sucks man. I remember when i got in my car accident (not my fault) and my front looked kinda like yours. It cost the body shop about $15,000 to fix all of the damages! The car looks like new, but at the point of the accident I just realized yeah I love the car but #1 I'm just glad to be alive and #2 it's just a car.
