I've painted previous cars that I've owned and been pretty happy with the outcome, so I am considering painting my EVO IX RS another color in the future. Currently the car is white-


I am tooling with the idea of painting my EVO IX. Before you think yuuuuuk! I am talking about a straight up paint job, no stickers or ricer graphics. Just changing the color of my car from white to one of these colors-

Orange
or
Forest Green
or
Navy Blue
or
Some other choice

Here is some pictures of my previous 3000GT VR4, it was green but I paid an even $1,000 for the change to blue, it came out really nice, sorry for the poor picture quality-







Just thinking about it, nothing more, just wanted to get people thoughts and have others ever considered doing this.

NOOO... i have yet to see a color change on an evo look good... leave it white!

 

if you are set on it, i think a metallic navy blue would look good... but the white isn't bad either

But of the 3 colors, I'd do ORANGE and keep the black (RS) accents. That would look good imo.

 

I wouldn't paint a newer car. Can't be good for the resale value.

White is HOT dude. But i agree with the other two, if a paint job HAS to be done, It should be ORANGE.

That's a nice shade of blue on that 3000GT. I've been wanting a VR-4 and I was thinking of paitning one true white, blue or MR gray.

As for my Evo, one day I will get sick of rock chips and repaint it white. I could care less about resale value, I don't forsee parting ways with the car anytime soon.

The only other color I can suggest is the candy red that AMS had on one of their cars, or the Ralliart red that Mitsubishi used on the Eclipse Ralliart show car (its currently yellow now)

 

Navy Blue or BBy would look nice on an IX.

 

Green? Orange? maybe the navy blue, but I dont understand why you would eer want to put yourself through that.
